Apologies

Chris here, I wanted to apologize to everyone that it has been soooooo long since we have updated our blog so many new and exciting things have been happening for us...especially Caeven. Unfortunately we haven't been able to update anything because we haven't had a reliable connection to do so, however seeing as how I can't sleep at the moment I figured I'd add some fun things that we've done over the last several weeks. Oh and by the way my $100 treasure has been stripped down and is just about ready to be swapped on to my '84 Bronco II's chassis which I'll hopefully make some good progress on it this week while we're in Alamosa for Christmas vacation.

$100 Treasure...not so much

'88 Bronco II

If ya'll can remember back on labor day Chris chopped the top on his Bronco II and has been working on it little by little and recently discovered he was going to need to replace the body all together because his was too beat up from the roll over 2 1/2 years ago...coincidently on Labor day weekend on Mt Blanca. He had been searching craigslist day after day and his brother Kevin was also scouring Logan, UT for donor vehicles and he finally found one in Golden, CO for $100...but no engine or transmission. I've been reassured though that those aren't needed because Chris is just going to swap the bodies...which is going to be a lot of work but should be satisfying once he's done. The interior is actually pretty nice but the exterior is going to need a little tlc on some rusty spots but it's pretty straight. Chris was really excited also because the guy also gave him a wench mount bumper that's pretty nice.

Just Cause

Caeven is getting such a personality and is sooo active. Once he's on the ground he's gone or crawling circles in the living room or all over ya!

Colorful Colorado

Sorry the picture's not bigger but this is one of the many reasons we love it here in Colorado...the beautiful fall colors. So this is for ya'll down south who miss out on this great weather! BTW this is the south east side of Mt. Blanca headed towards La Veta pass

Happy

Caeven is like this 99% of the time...just happy and full of smiles. We went down to Alamosa over conference weekend and he had a lot of fun with Grandma and Grandpa.

Handsome Boy's Big Blue Eyes

Caeven definitely can thank his mom for his big blue eyes...and kind of his dad, Chris has hazel eyes.

An afternoon at the park

He'll actually hang like this now on his own for about 5-10 seconds
We set out a couple of weeks ago on a walk to find a nearby park and we were successful, we managed to find one not too far up the street rom our house. As you can see Caeven loved it!

Aunt Jody's wedding

Ok this was back in August...we're a little behind, this is my Aunt and her new husband Earl, he is a train conducter so they got married on the train that runs between Alamosa, CO and La Veta, CO at the top of La Veta pass. It was a really cool idea and a wedding we will never forget, the original plan was to have the wedding outside but rain changed those plans however, it did clear up for an outside reception. The unforgettable part came later because someone forgot to bring the radio to let the return engine know that we were done and ready to be picked up needless to say that was one late night we got back into Alamosa at 11 and Chris and I had to drive home that night so Chris could go to work the next day.

Caeven's First Trip to the Beach

Someone should tell Chris to take off his t-shirt...oh wait he's just got a horrible farmer's tan (Chris had me write this I SWEAR! I luv me a good farmer tan!)

Caeven didn't like the ocean at first because it was slightly chilli for him but he got used to it and loved floating on the swells...as for his dad...he sure could use some sun on that pasty white chest and back-avert your eyes if you value your retina's!!!

Playin with the cousins

It's too bad we don't live closer these boys would have so much fun together...but on the other had they'd probably get into a lot of mischief too!
Matthew was showing us where Caeven's ear was, way too cute!
Summer LOVES babies! They are extermely excited as they have been advised of another addition to the Clan

I just had to include this, this is Matthew's "CHEESE" Grin for pictures

Our Trip to Sunny Florida!!!!!

All tuckered out after a few hours of fun at the pool in Kelli and Jess' neighborhood

I think the boys were ready to head back home
This looks tasty
Caeven's first time in the pool, as you can see there's always something that steals his attention away from the camera
They could almost be twins if Caeven was a little older

This is our oldest nephew TJ hanging out in the baby float

Garden of the Gods

This is like a 5-10 climb pretty difficult as you can see from Chris' superior form it was executed most beautifully!!
Another view to show the added difficulty
"Timmy B" has taken the "Spider Man" approach on his acsent up the treacherous rocks (the picture is definitely at the right angle if you're still second guessing his skill)

This was our trip to the Fabulous "Garden of the Gods" with our pals Tim & Kamee

So this video is of the first time caeven kind of army crawled.

Attack of the sweet peas.

Hangin Out

Caeven and Grandma AKA- Vóvó (that's portuguese for grandma, we had to have a different name since Grammy and Grandma "T" were already taken)

Caeven was being so cute the day we took these he was standing up like this for 20 min. Oh I just love this little man!!!

Caeven's Response

Caeven's First Bites

Caeven had his 4 mo visit mid June and the Dr. cleared him to start eating Rice cereal and then move on to regular baby foods about a week after, here's his reaction.

Future Job?...Hope not, but it's funny!

Caeven was sitting up for the short duration that he does and we snapped a shot of a little plumber crack!

Rollin' Over

Caeven was starting to figure out how to roll over but his arm would keep him from going all the way over so we helped get him on his tummy for some of these which were taken back in early June now he's a rollin' King and we have to really watch where we leave him...PLUS he's also started to get his crawling legs on here in FL but still has a bit to get straightened out before he perfects the manuever.
