It's been a bit...now Brynlee is here!!!

This is Brynlee Rochelle Riggs, our newest addition. Born 11/24/2010 @ 10:13 AM, 7lbs 2oz, 18.5" long.

Excited Big Brother

She has quite a bit of crazy Blonde hair

Proud Dad!!!

Beautiful Mom and Baby!!!

How it all started:

Brittney woke up at 5:19 AM with contractions and woke me up at 5:40 AM letting me know this had to be it, the "real ones" could no longer be ignored! After showers and Grammy picking up Caeven we were finally off to the hospital. Got in at 6:45 ish and Britt's contractions continued to get stronger and closer together. After getting into the triage rooms the nurse checked Britt...only 3.5 cm 80% efaced...she said this would be an observation for the next hour to see if she was really in labor and then likely Britt would be going back home. WHAT!!!! After the nurse had left Britt said if they try that she will just go sit in the lobby and wait because she knew these were real! After a bit the nurse came back right as Britt was having another contraction and said, "you have the saddest hurt face I have ever seen, I'm going to go check on some things and then I'll come back and check you again in about 20 mins." By this time Britt was to 4 cm and a half hr had passed by I think. The nurse came back and said we're going to go ahead and admit you and gave her some fentanyl and the pains were curbed slightly. At about 8:17 AM we got into the birthing room and the epidural was in at about 8:42 AM and she was 5 cm. Britt's parents rolled just befire 9 and my mom came to the hospital with Caeven shortly after. Britt's Dr came in to check on her about that time and told us she'd be back in a bit. 10 AM rolled around Dr came back to check, sent Britt's dad and Caeven out, Dr broke Britt's water and said she was at 8-9 cm and if Britt felt like she had to push call her back in Brynlee's head was right there. Not more than 5 mins passed and the Dr was back in...3 contractions later @ 10:13 AM Brynlee was out in the world. We are so blessed to have had such an event free pregnancy and delivery. We are blessed to have 2 of the most beautiful children ever!!!

Chris and Brittney's Halloween Costumes

WT Trucker
So Chris was going for Wolverine...close! Just need a little longer hair, thicker chops, claws more (much more) muscle...and a bajillion dollars! (comments by Chris)

Some Halloween Action

The Fam!

Wolverine and Sharkboy; Chris looked all over for claws and couldn't find any and ran out of time to make some.

Enjoying the fruits of his labor, nothing like a good sucker! We just love this kiddo and his lil BIG personality!

Caeven was checking to make sure he didn't have a hole in his bag...I think.

Halloween

The Spider on the left is ours, the bat was done by Kamee, and last one by Tim.

I did this one

Chris did this one

This is how Caeven decorates pumpkins. I tried hard to get him to help me clean out my pumpkin but he told me " thats pretty nasty mom, no thank you". So he stuck with the markers.

A little trunk or treating with Amanda and Grammy. He loved this part of the party he told everyone thank you after every piece of candy. He did get scared once but all in all a good time I think.

I love this face I have no idea what he is doing or looking at...a snack maybe?

My little shark, he was so cute. But I think he was a little to into it, half way through the ward party he was running around chasing the prinesses growling at them...he made one little girl cry. (couldn't get the photo to rotate)

Caeven wanted to help me decorate at my moms house. It turned into Caeven doing all the work he was so proud of what he had done. One of the things he filled with pine cones and the other he filled with pumpkins. The pumpkins had glitter all over them, which got all over Caeven and he walked around the rest of the day looking up and asking " where that light come from mommy".

Denver Museum

They had a fish tank with this bubble in the middle that you could stand up in Caeven thougth that was pretty cool.

A giant Anaconda. He thought is was tough stuff for picking up a snake.

Caeven had so much fun at the Museum in Denver. He loved everything but we all know his favorite part was the dinosaur bones.

Fun Videos

Caeven loves playing the drums when Chris plays Rock Band and he loves to dance oh and he loves his rainboots he would wear them with everything.

Sorry this video is the wrong way it wont let me flip it. I think you can still get the point. I love watching Caeven dance he isd such a fun Kid.

Summer in a nut shell

One of Caevens favorite shows in the morning is Dinosaur Train. At my parents house he had me make him a train out of the big blocks and he had to sit in it while he watched his show and sang all the songs. I just love this Child!

Caeven just loves my dad and wants to do things like Papa. Caeven and I were in Alamosa for a week and one day caeven and my dad ate noodles one in the front room Caeven thought he was so cool eating like Papa.

My mom bought a pool for Caeven awhile back and when we where down visting he got to play almost everyday in the pool. One day he asked my mom so nicely if she would play with him, so she climbs in with her jeans on and played. Another reason why Caeven loves his Nana so much.
This is the swim suit wetsuit that Cathy bought for Caeven I love it. He looks so cute in it.

I guess I don't know how to put sun screen on. I felt so bad for his half burnt face.

Helping Grammy with Mac and Cheese

Swimming with friends at the Parker pool.

Birthday parties

Swimming with dad. If you can't tell Caeven loves the water, now to get him into swim lessons!

We went camping with Tim, Kamee and Eisley. Caeven and Eisley did so good, We were all sitting around the fire talking and Caeven climbed up in Chris' chair and was asleep in 2 min. It was so cute he sleept better than I did.

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day Honey!!! I love these pictures of you and Caeven! It is so neat to seeyour relationship grow and just how much Caeven looks up to and loves his Daddy! I asked Caeven what he wanted to get his Daddy for Father's Day and without hesitation he said, "A dinosaur!!!" He was so excited about his gift that he tried to tell Chris at lunch that same day he got the dinosaur. He said, "Daddy, I got a surprise for you...a dinosaur!" Fortunately Chris didn't understand since he thought Caeven was talking about the dinosaur in his hand at the moment. I'm the luckiest woman and so happy you are mine, I love you Babe!

Caevens coat

I tried to turn this but it was not working for some reason

I am very proud of this coat I have not make anything in a long time like this anyway. I did have a little help but I still did it and it fits him.

picture overload

We took Caeven up the Woodland Park to the Dinosaur Museum up there and he loved it.

Caeven wnet to his first hockey game and he had a blast, he thought that all the players were robots. He would also stand up and and yell go Avs it was so fun.

He put these on his head and told us he was T-Rex.
